Writing Invalidation That Survives Ordinary Noise

Swing trading lives on daily and weekly structure. Intraday wicks will probe levels that still belong to a valid setup. When we critique student journals, the most common repair is moving invalidation beyond the structure that defines the idea.

Ask one question: which price event would prove the thesis wrong, not merely uncomfortable? For a pullback continuation, that is often a decisive close back through the prior swing low that framed the pullback. For a breakout swing, it may be a failure to hold the break level after two daily closes.

Write the invalidation sentence in plain English before you place the order ticket. If the sentence relies on a round number with no structure behind it, redraw.
